Straight answers to what people ask us on the phone.
How much do long distance movers cost from New Orleans?
Every long-distance move is priced for your home, your route and your access: home size, stairs or elevators at either end, a long walk to the door, and packing. Moving to Houston, Atlanta, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio or Chicago? Tell us at the top of this page and we'll take you to an instant flat price. Anywhere else, we call you with a flat price for your exact move.
Do you use your own trucks and crews, or a broker?
Our own. AD Movers is the mover, not a broker. The crew that wraps and loads your home in New Orleans drives it and unloads it at the other end, and your belongings never share a truck with anyone else's.
How long does a long-distance delivery take?
Houston is often same-day or next-day. Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Atlanta are usually next-day. Chicago usually takes about two days because federal driving-hour limits mean the truck stops overnight, with your load locked on our truck. Your delivery date is agreed before we load.
Is the price really flat?
Yes. The price covers the crew, the truck, the drive and the crew's travel home. It is confirmed with a quick on-site walkthrough before moving day, and once it's locked there is no reweigh, no fuel surcharge and no delivery-day add-on.
What changes the price?
Home size, stairs or an elevator at either end, a long walk from the truck to the door, packing and boxes, and for a 4-bedroom home whether it fits one 26-foot truck. The price tool on each route page asks about all of it.
Do you pack for long-distance moves?
Yes. Choose light, standard or full packing, or pack yourself. Boxes, wardrobe boxes and TV boxes are priced in the same instant price tool, and everything is wrapped for highway travel, not just a trip across town.
Can you move me to a city that isn't listed?
Yes. Tell us where you're going with the form at the top of this page or call 504-237-0855. We'll reach out to talk through the details and give you a flat price for your move, with our own truck and crew from door to door.
Do you also move people to New Orleans from other cities?
Yes. Every route we run goes both ways, with the same truck and crew from pickup to delivery and the same flat-rate pricing.
